Where are we?
The Edwards Waterhouse Inn (EWI) is located in the Western New York county of Chautauqua, less than three miles from the shores of Lake Erie.

By car
Directions via New York State Thruway to the EWI
Take I 90 to Exit 59 (Dunkirk & Fredonia).
After toll booth continue straight until you come to a “T” intersection with Central Avenue.
Turn left onto Central Ave.
After traffic signal, drive approximately ½ a mile and the EWI is on the left (71 Central Avenue), set back from the street, between Newton Street (will come first) and Curtis Place (if you reached that, you have gone too far!).
Please pull into either driveway (it actually loops behind the house). For registration and dropping off your luggage, pull opposite the right-hand porch and enter through that door to the Receiving Room. Your car can then be moved to the parking lot at the back of the house, EWI guests parking on the left-hand side of the lot.

Directions via I-86 (Rt. 17) / Rt. 60 North to the EWI
I-86 to Route 60 North exit at Jamestown
Remain on Rt. 60 North until you reach the intersection of Rts. 60 & 20 in Fredonia, about 25 miles.
Turn left on Rt. 20 and proceed to Temple/Water Street.
Turn right on Temple St.
Turn right at 2nd traffic light onto Central Ave.
After traffic signal look for 71 Central Avenue, on the right, three houses past Curtis Place.

By plane

By train
Amtrak (1-800-USA-RAIL) runs a line to both the Depew (55 Dick Road, Depew, NY 14043)

and Exchange Street Station in Buffalo, NY. From the Exchange Street Station, it is a quick walk to the Buffalo Metro (Bus) Station for a connection to Fredonia.

By bus
Tickets for Empire Transit, New York Trailways and Coach USA bus service are available through the SUNY Fredonia Ticket Office (866) 441-4928. The Buffalo Metro Station is the main connection for New York Trailways, Coach USA, and Greyhound buses, enabling travel throughout the United States. Empire Transit runs 5 daily buses between Jamestown, NY and Buffalo, making numerous stops in-between. The ride from Buffalo to Fredonia is usually under 1.5 hours.
