Guests at the Edwards Waterhouse Inn enjoy breakfast served in our Chinoiserie dining room, more intimately in the morning room, or in good weather, a lucky few on the side porch! Our breakfast menu changes daily with some items always available. We use, in as much as possible, fresh produce from the surrounding area farms and those preserved by Maggie at the peak of freshness. A typical menu might include coddled eggs with a variety of fillings and homemade bread “soldiers”; a delicious, light and “betcha-can’t-eat-just-one-stack” of Plattär, a silver dollar-sized Swedish pancake with homemade jams; freshly baked sweet breads or muffins; one of a variety of sweet or savory frittatas taste-tested by many willing “helpers”; or a breakfast pizza; and fresh fruit and breakfast meats. We also offer limited cold cereals. Always available are our specialty house coffee, Devlin’s Cardigan, fine teas (some imported from India) and juices and coffee. With 7 days notice, we can accommodate special dietary needs and Gluten free diets. Breakfast is served from 8:30 – 10:30 AM.
In the event of a guest needing an earlier breakfast, we will make every attempt to assure a good start to the day!
Starting at 6 AM daily, an urn of coffee, juice and Swedish skorpor or other light pastries are available on a self-serve basis.
